Which LUT should I use?

Choose the file that matches how you shot.

  • Apple Log (e.g. Blackmagic Camera app) → Apple Log version
  • S-Log3 on a Sony camera → S-Log3 version
  • iPhone default camera with HDR Video on → HLG version
  • Phone or camera footage with HDR off → Rec.709 version

Note: HDR Video is on by default on iPhone. You can check it under Settings > Camera > Record Video.

How to use

  1. Shoot in Log (or HDR)
  2. Pick the LUT that matches how you shot
  3. Import the .cube file into DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Blackmagic Camera, etc., and apply it to your clip

After applying the LUT, a light touch on exposure and white balance gets you even closer to the intended look.
